Every now and then I hear chimes. Anyone know what that means?

i don't play w/ the music on and i have noticed that about 90% of the time that i hear the chimes and i search the board, i see a collectible or mushroom. maybe wishful thinking??? \:D

Collectibies / mushrooms appear more in VV3. 75% of the time I can find something!
