Well, My tribe grew a little fast, and recently, one of my villagers had a kid with the wrong guy (which confused me. ._.)

Anyway, I recently did the weather dance puzzle, and I was just wondering. Could my tribe survive for a while on that?

For example:

I would do a weather dance to make it rain, I'd place one person on the lift, and then scout the area for mushrooms. When the fruit drops, the person deposits it and if there are any mushroom the kids pick them.

One of the tricks I have learned is have the chief make magic food then pause the game for 24 hours (real time) then unpause the game and have him make food again. It can be a pain waiting that long to play the game and to remember what time you last created magic food was. But it sure beats having everyone starve!

One helpful trick when you are low on food is to find a mushroom, pause the game, put a child on the mushroom, grab another child, hoover over the mushroom, unpause and drop the second child on the mushroom quickly. When you get the hang of it, both children will carry a mushroom giving you more food points! You can do this with collectibles too to help with tech points.

Hope this helps, Good Luck! \:\)

The fruits are only four food - they're almost nothing, compared to the mushrooms you gather. A decent population can survive QUITE a while on mushrooms (indefinitely) if you can keep it raining, but you have to maintain the skilled villagers to perform the dance, and you have to make certain you always have children around - always having children is bad for your population, in a starvation situation, so I don't recommend that solution for a long haul.

The best bet for me has always been to severely curtail growth until I get the tree blooming, and research, research, research. By the time restoration is done, you can begin training a few builders - you already have two near-adepts. That'll get you the grove, and more time.

After that, science, then more research, and as few children as required to propogate the village, until the shark potion. (Science plus L2 faction takes fewer successes than just getting L2 of a faction, assuming years don't pass between the time you can afford science, and the time you actually purchase it.)

Yeah, I've been doing the multiple mushroom/collectible trick a lot with the kids (I have 6, plus the mistake baby which makes seven. ._.) But the feast for blessing day really took it's toll.

I have the orchard growing right now. I already have one bananna tree, and another tree that'll be good in 58 minutes. The last one is still around the four hour mark. But my food is only around 245 and my tech points around 5000. (thanks to the kids and alot of collectibles popping up)

I think I'll try the chief food trick, and I'll probably rain dance until they reach around 2000 food. Anyway, thanks for the help you guys.

No problem. The next tree will help alot - that's 1000 food on the branch right there.
