Just curious, what is the highest price plant that anyone has created.

Mine was for $1,026, has anyone out there had anything higher?

Sold one for $1,280 today... tried to sell one for $1,440 as well but no one was interested at that price. I have one growing right now that has the initial price of $1,013 so I should be able to get at least $1,300 for it.

Yup, just managed to sell it for $1,430.

That's right. With Plant Tycoon, once you get the higher plants....it is really easy to start rolling in green.

The $1,026 price I mentioned above was the starting price. I have now sold that same type of plant for $1,500. That's the best I could do, at any other price no one was interested.

I managed to sell a plant for $2000, but only once. After that, customers refused to buy even at $2000 though I left it to sell overnight. Since then the highest I've sold is $1950. I bred a bunch of these, made a pile of money so that I afford instant growth to experiment cross-breeding.

I've only explored 62 breeds, with about 17 types flowers so there might be other higher selling plants that I have not come across.

Do certain flowers bring in more money than others? I noticed one particular flower type seem to fetch more money. Also, plant food seems to work on only a couple of plant types (i.e. can encourage the flowers to bloom more vigorously.) The price of the plant increase as I add plant food.

Yes, as you get to the more exotic flower (and foliage) types, you will see the prices increasing. Certain flower types carry nice price tags. The flower types that you get at the beginning don't sell for much money at all.
