I have 4 villages. I didn't play for a few days, trying to get the 90 y/o award.
When I opened the game, I see all my puzzles are undone, and even the huts are in ruins!!
The lab is a mess.
I still have my collection pieces, my techs are all level 3. I still have my awards, my food and tech points.
What happened?

As I understand it, this is a result of a corrupted save file, caused by problems or interruptions of any sort while closing the game or switching tribes.

This is a blessing to some people though - Puzzles only last so long, and are rather easy to complete, with the requisite knowledge. Your tech remains, so finishing enough huts to support your population should be easy. Having skilled villagers, and knowing how to restore the alchemy lab and what potions to use, re-securing your food supply should be easy, too. I personally like this glitch, as it gives an established village a little more game time.

It's not caused by a corrupted savegame file. It's caused by a bug in the game that wasn't discovered until several weeks after VV3 was released. We believe that we have found the cause of the bug (a timing problem with the game's autosave function), and the fix will soon go into testing. It is unlikely to occur twice in the same game, but there is a way to prevent it from occurring until the fix is available: make a quick backup of your savegame files before launching the game. That way, you can put the game back the way it should be if something bad happens.

actually Lady it has now happened to me twice it happened last wednesday i left the game running for 12 hours and when i came back everything was undone. i was angry because i had just finish that game the day before and was going to start another one. oh and it happened before in the same game when half my puzzles were done.

Funny how it just angers some people, while others actually seek it out.

Hi Lurkily, can you post how to replicate this glitch. If I can get the rubble to be undone maybe the last tablet pieces will finally show up.

Regarding the rubble, the pieces will not show up faster by putting the rubble back - the pieces ONLY show up after the rubble is removed. Additionally, unlike other collectibles, tablet pieces only ever show up once - you will never get a duplicate. Depending on how the game selects the next collectible to appear, this may mean that the tablet pieces become less common as you collect more of them.

I can't post my method here, partly because it breaches forum rules to post it here, and partly because it doesn't actually work. For instance, the grove is listed as unsolved, but the trees don't go away. So . . . yeah. It's broken. Forgive my bragging about such broken methods.
