Just started FT for windows. Have a couple quick questions...although many were answered elsewhere in thread I didn't see these.

About stuff you buy. The aeration system, temp regulator, cleaning snail and golden seahorse should be in all 3 tanks? Or just tank 1 and 2?

The 4 plants you can buy, same question...all 3 tanks or just tank 1 and 2? And just how well do they work? Are they worth the price?

And finally the 6 ornaments...those are just for the sale tank right? Would have no effect on tanks 1 and 2?

Thanks ahead of time
Rye

Oh and just wanted to verify...breeding and selling gold goldbubs is the best way to make money without having any upgrades? Most threads seem to say this just wanted to make sure that is what I wanted to do.

Everything in your list, except the seahorse, will appear in all 3 tanks after you purchase them.

The plants do what they say they will do, and they are all useful. Are they worth it? Every player has to decide that for themselves.

You can put the ornaments in any tank, giving you an opportunity to decorate your tanks to suit your taste. Their primary purpose is to attract more customers to your store (thus allowing you to sell fish more quickly), and they seem to do that regardless of which tank they are in.

Most people breed Goldbulbs early in the game, and it's a very effective way to increase your money until you get to level 3 of Fish Environment. I have found better fish, though!

Thanks for the info. I LOVE this game....seriously I will just sit with my music going and watch my tank.

I am working on breeding the goldbulb's now and should soon
have 6 breedable goldbulbs then I can rack up some money and then breed lots of pretty fishies.

So....*flutter* *shy look*....what are the better fish you have found to breed with everything still at level 1???

Ooooooh! You have such a nice way of asking! But, gee, I can't give away all of my secrets. You might try spending some money on common eggs now and then. You could get lucky and get one of those 'better' fishies!

Better fishies at level 1? No! All the real beans are in the L3!
If you want to know which is the best L1 fish, i'd say that you must decide. Which one do you like most? In price... everyone are at $4, or less $10. Well, i'll say that the Twinfin Spotanus.

Hmmmm...not entirely true. I am now breeding a fish at level one, that survives...and am selling it for 75 a pop.
This is easily giving me the money to upgrade tank and do all my research. That's $75 per fish, with no research done, and no ornaments in tank.

Care to give a hint?

Did that fish start with a selling price of $75 or did you just try increasing the amount to see how far you could go? (I did that with the golden goldbulb, but couldn't get up to $75.)

I'd be interested if it was another species that brought in the higher selling price.

Sure I am not shy about sharing....it was the first magic fish...the greenfin spotanus. It's price is set at 40 something but I pumped it up just to see and was surprised that it sold at 75. Actually now I have an ornament in there as well as the second level of advertising and am pumping them out for $95.

I lucked out and when I dumped 3 sets of eggs in when the game began, I ended up with two of them to breed right away. But it's also pretty easy to breed if you have a couple of spotanus's. Once I had my two to breed I went on.

Here's what I do now. In tank one and two I have 5 of them. I get them all pregnant. When they give birth I get
10 new fish in each tank. I dump all the new fish (that's 20 total) into the selling tank, drop 3 drops of growth hormone in. Go back to tanks one and two, get them all pregnant again. By the time there is a new batch of little ones, the 20 in the selling tank are all grown. So at 75 a pop I am making 1500 per batch of 20. I spend about 400 for the growth hormone so that brings my profit down to 1000. But you don't have to use the growth hormone if you don't want. Once the breeding fish in tanks one and two get older...like 90 or so...I wait till there is a new batch of little ones...dump the old ones in the tank and sell em. Put the ten new ones from tank two into the sale tank to grow up. Split the ten in tank one into tank one and two and wait for them to get old enough to breed. It's been working great for me.

I now have all the plants, one of the decorations, levels two in food and environment and working on level 3 in advertising. The fish are selling easily at 95 so I am gonna pump them up to 105 and see if they sell. Don't worry about a few customers upset about the price. Eventually they sell. I can sell all 20 at 95 in like 10 minutes real time.

Good luck.

Wrong fin. Green-fin, not twin-fin.
