If you're putting him on the berry bush, that's the wrong place.

You have completed the puzzle where you have to revive the flowers?
You do not put him on the berry bush. Revive the dead flowers, then the butterflies will come.

If you're putting him on the berry bush, that's the wrong place. Okay I am officially an idiot. I swear I read that you needed to place the GC on the berry bush. Well, after only 2 seconds of placing him on the flower patch (the right spot) I got the butterflies. Thank you all so much.

Now all you have to do, is place the GC on the plant near the lagoon.

Yeah, I've left VV1 alone for at least a month without a noticeable decline. I've often wondered if the GC might not be exercising his parenting mastery, as gross as that is, because I often don't find anyone with any parenting skill, despite there being lots of babies and children. I wish I still had the game where the GC got zapped by an event, so that a comparison could be made.

In VV1 mothers can continue to have babies in their 60s, 70s, and beyond. In VV2 and VV3 they stop when they reach 50, however. That means that a VV1 tribe is less likely to diminish in numbers because several potential mothers have reached their 50s.
