Oh, trust me, some people don't want that glitch. It happened to me and I was heartbroken. I worked SO hard keeping the fire alight and doing the statue puzzle, and I had to start EVERY puzzle again. A big problem was, my population was very high, like 94, and when the game restarted I had no huts. So, unless I built the houses quickly, my population could only go downwards. but don't worry, the villagers are fine now on a population of six.
