I just saw an enhanced version posted in a game forum
that that includes extra Tech Points and Food
does anyone know about this or what I can go to download
a patch for this.

The 1.00.04 version contains bug fixes.

Be very careful about downloading updated versions of the game. You must obtain any updates from the game site where you purchased the game, or you game will revert to a trial version. The activation codes issued by one game site will not work with another game site's download.

If I feel my game needs enhancing, I go and I enhance it myself.

How are you enhancing the game?
Are you able to go in some place and change points or something?

Yep, it's called the research table, and it gives you more tech points!!
If you buy science technology then you will get more points when researching. Is that what you were asking?

If your interested in graphical mods, though, it's very easy to alter the graphics in the game, and there are some mods out there that replace the entire island with something new. Look around the forums - or use the 'search' link, and look for 'mod'. You'll find a slew of'em.
