I left my game running and when I came back all the puzzles that i have accomplished have been erased. The well that I found underneath the rocks is covered again. My lab is back in ruins I had to send an adept scientist to recover the different pieces. My food count and my tech points were not lost at all. I think there is a glitch in the game as every upgrade I have made is still there when i click on the Tech button. Can anyone tell me what the problem could or might be????

We don't know what's causing that problem, and we recognize that it's serious. You may be able to recover your game, however, if you haven't tried to open it too many times since you discovered the problem. If you follow the procedures in this answer in our Support FAQ, you can see if the backup savegame file is still OK.

that happened to one of mine too. except i used the mods and 1 out of 3 villages had that same problem.

AAH! It happened to me too! I had nearly finished everything and now its all gone...except my villagers. Luckily.

i completed puzzle 12 but it is not showing as completed. it says this milestone is not complete. i turned the game off and the puter, but when i turned everything back on it still is not complete. i did the upgrade when it came out so the rest of the game is better, just don't know what is causing it. thanks for your help

Do we have to start over? I dont feel like starting my tribe over again. I haven't been playing VV3 since it happened because I am worried that it will happen to my next tribe.

You don't have to start the game over. In fact, I recommend against it. This bug, although serious, doesn't affect your villagers or your tech. You should be able to finish all of the "lost" puzzles much more quickly than you would if you were starting over.

We believe that we have found the cause of the bug (a timing problem with the game's autosave function), and the fix will soon go into testing. It is unlikely to occur twice in the same game, but there is a foolproof way to prevent it from occurring until the fix is available: make a quick backup of your savegame files before launching the game. That way, you can put the game back the way it should be if something bad happens.

well the rebuilding of the hut did not take as long, which is a good thing. I am just worried about my tablet collectibles, I was missing 3 before hand, has anyone else had trouble like this after the game does a puzzle reset??
