if you drag a viliger to a waterfall the viliger starts to drink.

um, yeah that's true.....but them drinking does nothing in the game, it just makes that annoying slurping sound

The only time I've found the villagers drinking useful is in a very special case:
[SPOILER]When cooling the Ash Key so that it can be picked up, as soon as a villager starts to drink from the waterfall instead of fill a water container, I know that the Key is cool enough.[/SPOILER]
