hi, you've got to help me. im already into the fourth generation in the village with 6 tech levels accomplished and 5 puzzles solved. (just started)

Here's my story. one day, this 21 year old villager (Aika) was nursing. then she encountered an EVENT. i made her drink a sweet-smelling liquid, then, she turned into a two-year-old! her status stated that she was still nursing. my village population was about 15 at that time. Unfortunately, one morning i woke up and found all my villagers dead exept Aika. she seemed to have full health even while nursing without food. 2 villagers - Aika and her daughter remained on isola. i am unsure of whether to restart the game as i have spent so much time on this game but i am aware that the only thing which can help me is an island event throughout Aika or her daughter's life.

what are my chances or getting a male and should i abandon this game?

You have several options to help you "salvage" your game. The first two are possible if you just keep going in the game. 1) There are several Island Events that could add to your population, so waiting for one of them to occur could help you. 2) If Aika's child is male, and you could keep both of them healthy until the child matures, you could grow your population again (they're only pixels, remember)! People have salvaged some pretty bleak-looking games.

The other possibilities depend upon your actions since the "disaster" - particularly how recently you've saved the game and how recently you've HotSynced your Palm to your PC. Since Village Sim, like most Palm applications, saves the game only when you exit, you can always perform a soft reset if something really bad happens. Depending upon how long it's been since your last save, a reset might put your game back to the way it was before the disaster. Another option is to restore the savegame file backup from your PC. It's usually located in Program Files\PalmOne (or Palm)\username\backup. Depending upon how long ago the backup was created, you may have to temporarily adjust the clock setting on your Palm.

Or you could start a new game.
