This game is so well designed, I can't imagine something in it that serves no integral purpose. So what about the birds?

Is there a way to catch them, either for food or pets? (When food was scarce, I kept imagining they were like the quail in the wilderness after the Israelites fled Egypt.) Do the birds serve any role other than beauty? I paused the game while they were in flight - quite impressive!

Also, I thought the Feather Collectibles would be more prevalent after the birds leave, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Hmmmm ...

Ah...That would be nice to use the birds for something.

The birds are part of an Island Event. I was scared they were going to destroy everything like they did in previous games.

Well, maybe in VV4 they can build traps to catch them, and we can use the birds like pigeons to fly around Isola and deliver messages to the other villages. If the birds are able to find the others they can send messages back? hmmm...maybe... just maybe...

I was thinking it terms of throwing spears at them (the birds). I got to admit when your low on food it is frustrating to have all that meat flying around and you can't use it!
