I have gone thru 2 tribes (1 in magic 1 in nature) and neither one has had a sparkling fire, thus I cannot complete puzzle 13 or 16. Both have been burning for way over 65 hours. I have added wood and still nothing, nor can I get any of the villagers to carry water from the waterfall to put it out. I have let it burn out and still no diamond! Anyone have any suggestions??

Then be patient. I apologize if I am no help, but that's all I can think of when it comes to this situation...

If you're pausing your game a lot, you will need to let the fire burn much longer than you would otherwise. Be patient, keep the fire going, and you will be successful. \:\)

I had problems with it at first, the worst thing you can do is let the fire go out by itself. What I did was set my game to slow overnight, came back and added wood to the fire, then just casually played until I saw the sparks.

Me? I never figured it out until my fire went out by accident, when I was away for 24 hours on normal speed. I tend to hold most building projects until the last set of puzzles; I also tend to keep the fire burning until that point, if I haven't accidentally obtained the key already.

The last time I got to that point, I looked up and one of my villiagers was carrying a bowl of water to the fire on his own. I did nothing but watch and wait...

I am now on tribe three and on each occasion the fire simply went out on its own. I tend to leave my tribes on slow until they have learned to get unlimited food but I don't pause at all.

In my first tribe I was very dedicated in collecting fire wood, but, for some reason, the fire still went out.

I have never noticed sparkles, I think sometimes it's just serendipity.

No, there are sparkles when there's a gem there, it's just easy to overlook, is all.

I started this game some months ago with just one tribe and had it accomplish all puzzles but 13 and the last one. The fire doesn't produce neither sparks nor diamond key. I've allready read tons of advise on this forum, the official guide etc. And I've burned a lot of wood in the fire with this tribe. The current fire has been lit about three weeks now and I'm 100% sure it hasn't gone out at any point during the that time. I've been patient.

Couple of weeks ago I started four other tribes to see if running more tribes would increase the possibility to see all that talk in FAQs and forums is not just lies upon lies. The four new tribes got their sparks and diamond keys within a week, which is nice (all my tribes are on slow setting). But why hasn't my main tribe got it yet? Is there a certain point in the game after which you can't get it anymore? Are there still some special conditions for this one, for example "the fire has to be lit for 65 hours or more for each hut/ 15 villagers/ tons of fish collected /etc you have in game"?

This puzzle is horrible. It's not too hard to solve, but even if I got instructions to do it step by step there is no way I can controll wether I'm doing progress here or not. All I can do is wait and feed the fire without any guarantee that doing this will pay for my efforts some day in the future. It's not entertaining at all if that's what the game designers thought.

I like the game very much. That's why I hate this puzzle even more.

I'm confused. I never had any trouble whatsoever with this puzzle -- the fire would go out at some point and there the diamond would be, with no effort from me.

However, I was under the impression that the fire had to go out at least once, and then had to be lit for 60 hours after that.

I guess it's just a very confusing puzzle. I'm glad I never had problems with it.

You HAVE let the fire go out, right? The key doesn't appear if it doesn't go out. I've heard of other people, though, who haven't had sparkles, but still found the gem when the fire went out.

Increase the probability of what? There is no percentage chance involved here to the best of my knowledge.

No. It's most likely a glitched timer in the game, possibly related to alterations in your system clock, possibly a bad save, possibly anything.

Try letting the fire go out, restarting the fire, and going for the sparkles again, from scratch. Keeping it lit for three weeks straight doesn't seem to be working; letting it go out once may reset the timer.

If everything you said is true, the game is obviously not functioning as intended. After all, you said four other villages doing the same thing worked, right? The bad attitude towards the developers who 'designed' such a horrible and difficult puzzle is completely misplaced.
