I have gone thru 2 tribes (1 in magic 1 in nature) and neither one has had a sparkling fire, thus I cannot complete puzzle 13 or 16. Both have been burning for way over 65 hours. I have added wood and still nothing, nor can I get any of the villagers to carry water from the waterfall to put it out. I have let it burn out and still no diamond! Anyone have any suggestions??

Then be patient. I apologize if I am no help, but that's all I can think of when it comes to this situation...

If you're pausing your game a lot, you will need to let the fire burn much longer than you would otherwise. Be patient, keep the fire going, and you will be successful. \:\)

I had problems with it at first, the worst thing you can do is let the fire go out by itself. What I did was set my game to slow overnight, came back and added wood to the fire, then just casually played until I saw the sparks.

Me? I never figured it out until my fire went out by accident, when I was away for 24 hours on normal speed. I tend to hold most building projects until the last set of puzzles; I also tend to keep the fire burning until that point, if I haven't accidentally obtained the key already.

The last time I got to that point, I looked up and one of my villiagers was carrying a bowl of water to the fire on his own. I did nothing but watch and wait...

I am now on tribe three and on each occasion the fire simply went out on its own. I tend to leave my tribes on slow until they have learned to get unlimited food but I don't pause at all.

In my first tribe I was very dedicated in collecting fire wood, but, for some reason, the fire still went out.

I have never noticed sparkles, I think sometimes it's just serendipity.
