I just wanted to come in and say Thank You for all the people involved in creating the games and this site.

This forum is one of the best message boards I have come across.
I love the diversity of it - it seems made up of many people of all ages and from all over the world.

I am a teacher in my 50's; but when I play the games or come in here I can relax, enjoy and be like a kid again.

I've seen a bunch of forums and joined a few, but this one is my favorite.

i've joined a few forums before, but none have the charm and closeness that radiates from this one.

Well, I've got to admit I like a bit more freedom to discuss certain ideas; but then, most of my forum haunts are modding forums, which are totally devoted to disassembling games - models, textures, images, sounds, code, scripting, levels, units, weapons, entities, projectiles, physics, shaders, the whole shebang. So it's only natural that I gravitate towards study and discussion, and exploitation of the guts of the game.

That being said, the attitude here is better than most places I've been; there's notably less viciousness and backbiting - even veiled - than I've seen elsewhere.

I love this place too!

I agree especially that the fact that it's made up of people of all ages makes the forum a special place. Congratulations to LDW (and Barbara in particular) not only for creating the games, but for providing such a great place to hang out!

I love this place. It's a great way to express ourselves.

I do enjoy this forum very much also, though it is the only one I have ever participated in! But I do think that does speak well of LDW that of all the forums available, this is the one I choose to come to. There is a great group of people here.

This is the best forum I have participated on. Though I have only tried a couple I was driven from those by a decided meanness that is absent here. Kudos to LadyCFII, Arthur, Carla and moderators Gamey and Eyeshigh for keeping this a safe and fun place to visit. Thank you.

I think the mods are only partly to blame for that. In my experience modding, if your patrons are the kind of people who cause trouble, no amount of administration will make the boards more or less friendly, it'll just keep fires to a slower burn.

The rules set and the spirit that the admins adopt do play a very big role, (And kudos for CFII's light-hearted and active role here) but I think more than anything the people who post are what define a forum and determine it's final shape. The kinds of people that play LDW games, the kinds of people willing to join this community, are what make this a friendly place to post.

In short you folks, the patrons of the forums, are the biggest reason this is a fun place to be.

I'm an old kid too and glad that so many older kids like vv. Its a addicting type of game. I simply adore the little kids running around and get quite fond of them.

I agree, these forums are really nice. So often you get a lot of cliches and nastiness in forums.
