I have a great village only up to 62 peeps at present but most of the adults are EEs and every 14 y/o masters very quickly in at least one skill. I have several JoATs, luck was on my side and the colectable came thick and fast and I've completed them all, and completed all the puzzles, still a few awards to get but have time to get them. This village is running on normal and has choosen nature as it's faction.

On the other hand I have a a second village I've just started and it is the complete reverse, everything is slow and trying to train the peeps is a trial of endurance, collectables are rare or ones I already have. This village also runs in normal mode and has choosen magic as it's faction.

Anyone else have story of lucky/unlucky villages.

I had one unlucky tribe. It was unlucky because I created it and then forgot that I created it... so... uh... oops. Poor things didn't even have a fire or anything. I created them and then I had to go take a phone call, so I closed the game... and then I just forgot. Now THAT is unlucky.

Most of my tribes are pretty lucky right now. They have an easy time because ten or more tribes have come before them and I know what I'm doing.

I started a lucky tribe a couple of weeks ago. One of my guys turned out to be a runner. Even better collectibles and mushrooms popped up like mad! I swear I collected 30 mushrooms (including 6 red ones) in a matter of hours. I've also gotten several rare items!

My first tribe was very unlucky. I ended up playing it for like six hours straight to collect mushrooms just so they wouldn't starve. (I didn't think about putting the game on pause for whatever reason.) The collectibles were also a pain in the tush 'cause they didn't show up at all really and when they did they were repeats.
My second tribe is brilliant! No problems there what-so-ever. Although I had two kids who turned 14 train themselves as farmers while I was gone and one of them didn't like crab meat or mangos and the other didn't like fish.
I was low on farmers so I had to fix it.
Other than that no problems.

I've had one really lucky tribe. Lots of different collectibles right away, 500 extra honey just before the hive was emptied, and the potions I had to make didn't blow up. The villagers seemed to be very smart and were trained without being dragged back to task over and over. Two runners (both became JOAT's) & not one person who didn't like learning or who liked resting. My next tribe was nowhere near as easy.

Yeah, because right before closing the game I switched to an older tribe to pause them. When I came back I just started playing the older tribe and didn't go to the menu screen for several days.
