Gong Grants (spoiler)

Hi,
I was just wondering - when the gong grants youth, who is it that gets younger? I usually check the stats of the villager I choose to ring the gong but when it grants something like wisdom or youth, I can't see who is changing.
Does anyone know?

When the gond grants youth, an adult becomes a kid!! (he keeps all his skills ) When the gong grants wisdom the villager who rang the gong becomes master in one skills! You must look at the "details" screen.

The only time I knew who had been granted youth was because she was carrying a baby and did so until she was 33 - the same age she was at the time youth was granted. Was odd. a small child carrying a baby!

I see. So it is not definitely the one who rang the gong who gets youth. I think it is difficult to tell when you have the max population what is happening to who.

So it is not definitely the one who rang the gong who gets youth I wouldn't say "definitely". It might be the one who rang the gong. The villager is randomly chosen, so the odds are against it, but it is certainly possible. Hmmm ... I wonder what would happen if a 2-year-old child were chosen?

Was odd. a small child carrying a baby! Wow I never had that happen to me, I thought pregnant villagers could not do anything, I never tried making them ring the gong... mmm tomorrow that's what I'll do and see what happens... But I had the gong kill one of my villagers, make everyone sick, but it was good because my trainee doctors could become adept doctors and the adept ones became masters.

I thought pregnant villagers could not do anything, I never tried making them ring the gong... Don't bother trying, they can't, They can be affected by the gong in some cases, however.

So when the gong takes youth a random villager will become older or if the villager was already elderly they would die.
I had the gong grant me vision one time and it showed me a person that I never had as a ghost. That was werid. Now in my village I have a person taht looks like that. But the ghost happen before I had a villager like her.

Man, today, my gong granted life. My pop. went from seventy five to 90! Several of my women had twins. no trips so far as i have seen. although i was really annoyed because i was trying to get them under 50 again.

I generally get an elderly villager to ring the gong, one who's mastered two skills but unlikely to master a third before s/he dies. Generally if the gong grants wisdom the villager will reach master in a third skill, thus becoming an Elder. I haven't noticed the gong grant wisdom and the villager getting skill in a field already mastered.

The thing is, all the new 15 children's father is ?, coconut head man with a white shirt and black shorts. Most of them have black hair, except for a couple. Oh, and I'll be making sure that few of them marry, since this is my red haired tribe that I like very much.

It would be nice if the person affected by the gong sparkled or something. In a population of 90 it is extremely hard to keep track of what has happened to who. My tribe has been going for ages now so changes like more or less food or technology are a little dull as they have no real impact on the game.
I have never seen the 'vision' effect or life even though I bash my gong every day. It is actually sometimes nice when it takes health - something to do at least!

It is actually sometimes nice when it takes health - something to do at least! Yes indeed. Even when the gong takes all the food in the bin it's not really a disaster. I simply pile every available villager into the sea and drag them back in again if they come out empty-handed. After a fairly short time with 90 or so villagers the food is back into the thousands. There is also the bonus that a lot of villagers gain some skill in farming ...

I HATE the gong!! I either only get more tech points, and I already have over 2 million, or the gong takes something away. It took health from a bunch of my villagers and I had to heal them all. Which wasn't so bad, since I had some Trainee Doctors. It was just time consuming. So far the gong hasn't been worth the work!!

That sounds good, especially if you're training villagers for Esteemed Elders. Plus, knowing medicine makes them live a bit longer.
