I hate to have to do this, but we are going to have to disallow the formation of clubs and societies, as well as suspend existing ones, at least temporarily. This is not a judgement about the merits of any of the clubs or the people who participate. The primary purpose of these forums is to discuss LDW games, and the proliferation of the various clubs has caused (and continues to cause) increased workload for the forum administrators and moderators. I will leave the threads intact and locked. I will also ask everyone to please remove references to these clubs and societies (text and images) from their signatures.

We are considering further enhancements to the forums that may restore some of these things, but we are not ready to announce the details yet. Please try to be understanding while we work through making this an enjoyable place for everyone. \:\)

You quite right about that. We are getting side tracked. I thought it might be about a VV club. Sorry about participateing in the discussion.

*Ahem*

When someone says no comment, it actually means "I am not happy about this." Or something of the sort. But what are you gonna do?

I'm not either; I had the intent of having the SPVC permanently locked-up to allow the SPCV to continue.

It seems like the mods have plans in the works with regards to groups like this. I guess we can only hope the SPCV finds an outlet through a means that we can only guess at, as of now.

In an attempt to be a good forum member and citizen of Isola, aka Friendly Ville, I have removed all references to clubs from my siggy. I have replaced it with an excerpt from the opening day speech I gave as class leader of my class at the Sept. 1988 Army Basic Non Commissioned Officers Academy. It meant a lot to me then, and still does today. I hope you pay attention to it, and think about it's meaning. I still believe we should ALL strive to be good forum members by helping each other and not creating strife in the forum.

Wow. I don't mean to be offensive, (and when do I ever offer that disclaimer?) but please, check the date of the last post on the threads you post to. Some of these have been very old news by internet standards, and thread necromancy doesn't help the forum.

i think that it was a good idea but i don't like it. but at least could there be a separate place for clubs? i mean i was so excited about creating one and then was very disappointed to see this topic frown well anyway, i explained in vv4 suggestions that i want to be a part of ldw and would be glad to have a club section aside from the rest of the forums, in which i would mod it or something like that and plz i would be so dissapointed if the answer was no. and i just updated my signature with my clubs and i am sad cause i have to take them off. so plz don't just sit there and take the clubs off from the forums. i mean aurther himself joined the spcv club. and i now looked at the date of the 1st post in this topic and i am beginning to get some hope.

Xilo,
I tried to send you a PM but it says you are over your limit. So maybe you could delete some of those old PM's? grin

Also, in LadyCFII's post she says:
Quote:
I will also ask everyone to please remove references to these clubs and societies (text and images) from their signatures.

So that means, for now, you need to remove "PROUD SPCV MEMBER" from your signature area, please
