Someone please help. MY villager, Jam, is a master scientist, I game him 3 things to do alchemy with, Cactus cactus cactus, And it blew up, He ha abulutly no health left. I tried the health potien before i did the cactus one, and that one blew too. What do i do?

Try to buy levels of the Alchemy Tech.

You need to buy Alchemy tech levels. The more level you have, the more success you will have in making potions.

The only way to keep potions from blowing up is to buy Alchemy Tech to level 3. If I don't have that level, then I only make the potion that is needed to solve a puzzle, and don't do any others until I have Tech Level 3.

You can keep dragging Jam to the food storage hut and get him to eat to build his health up, but it goes VERY slowly. You can also take a risk and have another scientist (they don't have to be master level) make up the potion that will restore health more quickly and have Jam drink it. BUT there's always a chance that potion will blow and then you'll have another weakened scientist.

Well, i have 6500 tech, i just bought the nature faction, lvl 1, and restoration, lvl 2., And was saving up for leadership. Will the tech come up fast enough for leadership, after i buy the alchemy tech

You could try using a different villager . . . Cactus-cactus-cactus is not a difficult brew, so it sounds like you just had a run of bad luck.

Alternately, quit when a brew blows up, and copy the backup save games to your main save directory. I know there's a guide on how to do this somewhere, but I can't find it.

Buying level 2 of Alchemy doesn't stop the potions from blowing up, they just do it less often. I think everyone has their own preference in buying tech, and I'm not sure what the best order is, but I don't bother with Leadership until I have done a lot of the others.

This is the order I usually use: science, restoration, medicine, alchemy, magic, leadership (only if I want a Chief this early otherwise I skip and do him after magic2), magic2, restoration3, medicine3, science3, leadership3, alchemy3, magic3

? I use cactus, cactus, lotus as the healing potion, I think it works more effectively.

He's right, Cactus Cactus Orchid works better; I have a nagging suspicion it explodes more, too, though, which is why I suggest C-C-C, instead of C-C-O. Just my unfounded suspicions, though.

Wait, cactus cactus black orchid? i did that one with the 2nd lvl of alchemy, and it has green smoke

Cactus Cactus Black Orcid is an "awful" potion that makes your villagers sick.

Yes. Lotus. For some insane reason, I confuse Orchid and Lotus alot. They don't sound alike, look alike, they aren't even close on the map, but I do it. Sorry.
