I paid via paypal and I didn't get a reg number. I left a msg with support. ( How long does it take to get a code when one uses paypal?) Also when I do get the code I want to instaall it on mylaptop which has no internet, will this be possible?

Big Fish Games handles the registration codes for Fish Tycoon for Windows. Their help says that AOL and Hotmail may be blocking email from Big Fish Games. There is a link on their help site for special help for users of those email systems.

They have help for the registration process here, if you are still having problems or questions.

According to the help, it looks like Internet access is required to install the game on more than one computer. If you try to register Fish Tycoon without Internet access, and it fails, you may need to contact Big Fish Games suppot.

So even the cd version cannot be installed on a machine with out internet? Is this to prevent software priacy? does the game send data from my machine to the company?

Those questions would be better directed to Big Fish Games, since they control the entire protection, distribution, and registration process at this point. They will be able to tell you what, if any, data is transferred and whether or not Internet access is required for all installations. The only thing I know about it is what I have read on their support site.

Its a shame it has to be that way.

We will start selling our own version from our website on Wednesday the 30th. This version will be very similar to our Palm/PPC releases, in that the copy protection will be a simple reg code.

I wish I would have waited. Do I have to buy another version? I would rather have the game from the this site who suports the game.

Only Arthur or Carla can help you with that. I don't get into the area of their marketing agreements and such, so I can't even begin to speculate on what options there might be in your situation. You could always send them a message via their support form.
