Raraku is so close to JOAT, he needs one last notch in building before he achieves Jack-status. Ive been hovering over him for hours now, putting him back on hut after hut after hut. It seems like hes hit a wall, and isn't gaining any experience. The game says he is, but Im just not seeing the improvement

Can someone give me an idea of how long this will take, of if theres any faster way to get his last smidgen of builder exp?

Have you finished all the other building tasks? Clearing leaves or rubble is faster building work. Otherwise, you just have to keep on putting him on the huts again and again. The bar moves in increments and not after each tiny bit of experience gained. I've been there before in trying to make a Master. Eventually, he'll get there.

Is there a clothing hut in VV3? I thought I read something about it somewhere.

Yes there is, You have to max science for it. There is a mod for the game that marks Trainee, Adept and Master in each skill, I would have gone mad without it.

Additionally, fixing huts is not something they do on their own, one reason why I tend to save building tasks until after establishing a guaranteed food supply.

The foundations for the clothing hut will appear after you have the Level 3. None of the population huts "becomes" a clothing hut.

The easy way is this; put villagers on each ruined hut, until a scaffolding is built. (If they 'look confused' you need more restoration.) The laundry hut is the only one they will work on all by themselves; the population huts get worked on, apparently, only as the population begins straining; my villagers left my population hut at 1% long after they completed every other building project with only minimal assistance from me.
