1. I don't think so except for the entertainment value and/or to gather all villagers in one area.

2. Don't know. I believe so since the Chief just points out rare collectibles in general without specifically pointing out missing ones (which would be better).

3. According to what I have read on other posts and my own experience, no, only missing tablet pieces pop up.

4. There are other threads that would be helpful to you. If you leave the game running with plenty of food for a couple days or so, then when you come back you might have over 90+ year olds.

2. Yes, tech points. The chief will point out one you already have sometimes. It's just a matter of time until he/she points out the one you need.

The only way I got my villagers to 90 was by leaving them alone. I was quite upset when I came back to my game and all my favorite villagers had past away. Roster showed 98 and 95(my avatar girl)

Yes, 90 is a matter of luck, mostly; buy all the medicine upgrades to help, keep healers on hand. Check up on your elderly - if they're low on health, give them a restorative potion or two. That's all I can recommend.
