Hello barmby! Welcome to the forum!

To heal your sick villager you may drop another one, even a kid!! on him, insist a lot when he/she says "no", and your villager will get better.

There is a puzzle to solve to have some healers. In the "Forum List", scroll down to the Guides' section, then to VV1 the lost children guide. You'll may choose between:

Welcome to the forums, Barmby. As mentioned, it's good to have two healers; as the healer may need a healer. Keep in mind that until you upgrade medicine, a healer has no healing tasks except to heal. Therefore, if you tag someone as a healer but cross-train them in one other skill during the early game, they will generally take up that other task when there's nobody to heal.

Younger than me,
is new friend Barmby,
Still to some she seems old,
or so I am told!

From all walks of life,
this great planet o'er,
come friends young and old,
to Isola's shore.
