I've tried to breed runners with potions. That didn't work Isn't it sad? I wish we could.

I won't even start a tribe unless there's a runner in it. But then when he/she becomes a chief, I'm sunk!

Yes, I've not yet chosen a chief. The odds are even that it'll be a runner! The baby is now three and he's not a runner. His name is Peep!

Yes, you would have had to be supernaturally lucky to have the baby be a runner too!
You know, this whole thing reminds me of one of my real life friends who also plays Virtual Villagers, although she is much, much more casual about it. She had started playing VV2 and was complaining about how bad her tribe was. I looked and she had one slowpoke and one who hated learning. She refused to start over because she'd already solved some of the puzzles and she liked how the villagers looked. If it had been me, I would have started over and not thought twice about it. I like the game hard, but not so frustrating I want to tear my hair out. Especially when you're just starting and you have less than 10 villagers.
