After five attempts and 118 Isola years, I've finally finished all the puzzles. Whew!
I did it with help from the Guides and forums for some of the puzzles. And I'm just not sure if I could have done it alone.

So I ask: How many of the puzzles required Guide/forum help for you? And which puzzles were they?

My report --
I couldn't figure out the statue steps on my own. I tried all sorts of things but just couldn't get that someone needed to erect the scaffolding and then the chief needed to get involved for it to work.
I didn't figure out the two puzzles that require potions (sharks and the door key.) I figured that getting rid of the sharks would require a potion but didn't get the recipe without help. The pink door key solution completely eluded me. But I'm not very patient in trying potion combinations (my patience was also tested in the stew requirements in VV2) so that could be just me.

And you? Did you go solo all the way?

I am pretty embarrassed right now.
I did the beehive with the help thing, and well, I got the tribal chief on my own but all the others were done with the Interet.

I used help for the jumping potion. I had no clue how to get that key otherwise. I stumbled upon the shark potion by myself and managed to figure out all the rest without help. I didn't come to the forums until I'd done all I could, as I knew I'd "cheat" and read spoilers if I did. Took me a while with some. Especially the pearl swapping, but I was happier doing what I could on my own.
I used spoilers on VV2 all the way through and when I finished I felt like I'd not really played at all, just followed instructions.

I managed all bar the shark potion, the weatherdancing, and the second part of the aromatherapy.

The pink key and the sharks were not an issue for me; I remembered that in VV2, there are hints for stews required for puzzles (Under the vines is the breathing recipe) and I expected clues here, too -- the recipe for light and springy is under the key, and the two shark potions are in the cave under the rubble.

What really bolloxed me was how to light the braziers -- the first step of aromatherapy had me. I thought that, obviously, I'd need wood and grass to start a fire, right? Sure. So what does a master doctor have to do with that? I probably would have gotten it by luck eventually, but I peeked.

I did everything completely on my own except for the 2nd part of aromatherapy, but that was something I read before I realized it was a spoiler.

I needed help on the weather puzzle, because silly me didn't know it was a puzzle and couldn't figure out what people meant when they said you could make it rain any time.

And both potions, because I have no patience to make and test them myself.

Everything else I did myself!

I had help with diamond key, and sharks b/c of potions. Also had a hard time with Lift and Rain Dance.
