Hey u guys.
I have this tribe that i have had since i began playing.I am really proud because they are the only tribe, who has survived from all the 5 tribes i have had.And it was the VERY first one too.
But the downside is, that i have no blondes. Since the beginning. So i only have brown (almost every shade of it) and red. And the strange asian hair too. The purple one.I don't even have black, which is really cool too.
So here is my question-
Is there any trick to get blondes/black-haired villagers ? Like, mix bright red with light brown ?
I REALLY love this tribe and i have completed all the puzzles + almost all awards but it gets so boring that i have only two colours. Can you believe that I have 67 villagers, all red and brown ? Most of them look alike, so i mix them up and it really bothers me.
HELP ME PLEASE !!! \:\(

I'm not sure that it does. I just had two brown haired people have a child with red hair! I was well into the population of my first magic tribe before I even saw purple hair.

You need to breed for it. Take the man and woman with the lightest brown hair colors, and get her pregnant by him.

You need to climb up the scale to blond; the hair colors are in the order of black, brown, light browns, the females have a couple of purple-hairs, then red, a couple of dark blondes (You might mistake them for light brown) and finally blond.

As a guide, go to the images folder and open up Male_heads and Female_heads. Just keep breeding the man and woman closest to blond (the bottom) on those images, and you'll creep into blond territory. The child will generally be right in between the mother and father on that scale, but occasionally they will be one or two up or down the scale from that average. (And rarely, they will be, apparently, totally random.) That means that if you mate two villagers that are VERY close together (For instance, both the man and woman the 15th head down from the top in those images) then you will occasionally have children that's blonder - or darker - than either of them.

I, too, have every shade of red and brown, several dark blondes (all females...the one with the two ponytails that stick out) and two purple-haired females. I've never had any blondes in my tribe on VV3. It's strange to have such a limited spectrum of color in one tribe, but I love them all dearly, and hair color isn't really an issue! But getting a blonde would be novel!

I am not saying that i don't love them \:D Don't be silly, but it just bothers me that i have so many look-alikes.I had two children, that are the same age, look the same but have different paerents.I am tired of looking up things that are red (Tomato, Lava, Carrot etc.) to name my red-haired villagers.(Yes, i name my villagers and it's getting harder with the growing population.)So i am really looking forward to name my villager Sun or maybe Lemon \:D
Thank you Lurkily, i will try that. It will take time, but i will try \:\)
If your strategy works, I will hug you...virtually ^^

I had an all brown and black haired tribe and a brown haired couple had blonde triplets o_o Then a black haired guy and a purple haired woman had blonde twins and I've somehow got a single red haired boy too *confused*
Then my blonde and red haired tribe ended up with a black haired with green leaves boy. From a blonde mum and dark haired dad o_0

As mentioned, occasionally hair colors will apparently be random, having no relation to either parent.

My strategy is generally to have only one active parent at any time; the closest to the blonde. I'm working on creating an all-blonde tribe.

A brown-haired tribe is common, unfortunately, because the way the game averages the two parents; because they're always an average, tribes tend to creep to the middle of the hair-color scale.

You got that so right ! Middle of the hair-color scale, and I am growing to hate it, since I will hit 100 pretty soon.
Can you imagine 100 villagers with brown/red hair ? It would be like, TWIN(triplet)VILLAGE ! \:D ... and it is

Light-haired gentlemen are good for this; they can get the entire village knocked up, and there are BOUND to be some light-haired children from that. Lather, rinse, repeat. \:\)
