One thing I don't miss are the elder totems from VV2. I ran out of places to put them.:)

Awards are good! But stats were good too. If it's an issue of maintaining the server, I don't NEED to compare myself to others; just being able to see my own stats would be fine.

I love the awards and love there is no leaderboard.

I really like the idea of rewards for the awards too even if it is a decoration.

However, while the leaderboards were a crock (in that they could be easily manipulated and that they shouldn't matter and bought out pettiness, [censored] and other such not so nice characteristics in a lot of players), I don't see why stats can't still be done.

It is nice to see how many mushrooms there are or babies.
In fact, I think it would be interesting to take these even furthur... I know I've had more red feathers than anything else

Honestly . . . I have no idea how such a 'rank' would be calculated. 'Success' in VV is very hard to quantify.

I agree with heidirea, I miss my own stats !

I also like having the awards better than the leader board since I DID feel a little pressured by it.
Although I also liked knowing how many mushrooms I collected and how many hours I've played etc.
It seems to be one of those paradox thingies.
If I had to choose though I would probably choose the awards over the leaderboard.
