It's fun to make your kids heal your older villagers and the other kids in your village. They become Apprentice Doctors but its almost like they are just playing because right after they heal someone they run off to play in the dirt or something.

Is there any way to MAKE villagers sick, like in VV2?

I always use the youngest villager in the starting group as the doctor. When he/she is getting old, I pick whatever young kid is wearing white (easier to find when you need them fast)

i am having trouble getting someone to train as a doctor any hints on what i need to do

You can have them heal sick villagers, or (if you have L2 of Medicine Tech) you can train them in the medical area. Once you have them started, they will study on their own.
