I just tried to have my chief point out a collectible for the second time. The first time a rare coral showed up very clearly and it was easy to find and retrieve.

I guess I don't really understand how to get him to show the collectible so a child can get it.

This time, as soon as he 'pointed out a rare collectible', heavy clouds rolled in and I couldn't see the ground anywhere.

After about 20 seconds, the clouds went away, but no collectible anywhere. When I retried, it said he refused, could only do every 24 hours.

My question: would it have helped to pause the game? Has anyone else had clouds/fog obscure what he was showing?

Any tips on getting him to help the children with the collectible hunt?

i always make sure the cheif does a lecture before i make him point out collectables..so all the villagers are in one spot..but sometimes it takes a few seconds for the collectable to show up....and it can be a collectable you already have
