I decided to start another VV game, as I lost the last one due to harddisk failure. After completion of the first village, I had it running for months, only checking in on it every few weeks.

I tried this with VV2, but the population dwindled, until everyone just died out. And VV3 seems no different, even though some kids may receive parent skills from the chief, it's not enough to make them do anything but "Unsure what to do" (even after turning 18).

Now, I've started a new VV, to see if my memory is justified, or that I might just be embellishing it.

Yesterday, I backed up my game, because food was dwindling, and there were alot of kids running around, all with a bit of scientist skill, or nothing. So I checked one of them to be a farmer (even though he had no skill). Lo and behold, he had skill this morning (the oldest were 9 when I went to bed). Now that isn't so strange. The strange thing is that every kid that had grown up in the meantime had both farming and scientist skills, and one even had healing skills to go with it.

So noone was being bored, and everyone was helping the village. I'm not sure whether VV is better at surviving breeding wise, but I will test that by leaving the village alone when the population is maxed out. I'll report back here with my findings.

The question is; what do people think of the survival skills of their villagers?

I noticed the same thing a long time ago when I only have VV and VV2. VV was self-sufficient for months on end. While VV2 only for a while. I think if I had not formatted my hard drive and lost VV, they would still be going strong after what 2 or 3 years now? lol!

My VV1 game is running alone since… the beginning (2 years, I think) and every thing goes well with the GC and 90 villagers (or near) \:D

My VV2 game is in Pause because it can't be let alone: When the fire is over, villagers may be sick and they die!!! \:\(

And I'm playing my 2nd tribe of VV3, so I look at the 1st every day and I don't know what could happen if I'd not do it. Every day I make the chief lecturing to the kids, so they all have a little skill in something and are able to begin a task. But there is 1 or 2 who are "unsure what to do"! In fact I don't know what could happen if I'd let them alone, I don't dare of it!!

I have mixed results. I left both VV and VV3 alone for 72 hours on fast speed.

When I came back, only 7 villagers were left in VV. There were 70 villagers in VV3, but the chief only aged 30 years, so I'm not sure what happend there. I am certain that the game was on fast speed the whole time.

In VV they are definitely better at breeding, while the male checked to parenting made 80 children, in VV3 there were tops 10 children made.

So in conclusion I have to say that yes, VV is better at surviving.

I also found that VV1 were better survivors on thier own. The other two I found always need guidence. I like to make sure that VV1 have healers so I check on them once a week.
