I just started a new tribe - hard.

I started with NO food. When I found the chief - a 6 year old - she did the Magic-Food but "we" got no extra food AND she only preformed the magic one time and then ran away.

Each collectable item found gives NO tech points.

Should I start over?

We haven't seen anything like that, either in testing or in the forums. In fact, if anything, the hard setting usually gives too much food (because of a different bug). If you started a hard tribe from an easy game and then changed the setting to hard, your game started with zero food, due to the bug that I just mentioned. If you want to make sure you're on the hard setting, you do need to start over.

It's normal for the collectibles to produce no tech points at the beginning of the game, since they are usually all collectibles you haven't already found. Tech points are awarded only for duplicate collectibles.

I am not sure what setting it was on when I created this game - I did CHANGE it to hard - so that may be the problem.

I think I will keep it for awhile - I want to see if the Chief will do the Magic Food correctly after the 24 hour time limit comes around again.

"We" are collecting honey = so not starving to death LOL - But it does sound as though this is the Bug you talk about above.

Edit - To ask = The event of the "feeding the Otters" came up and (again) no new food was added to the tribe even though it sounded like there should have been.
(I tried to keep this as Spoil-Free as I could - so I hope you know what I am talking about?)
