YOu can't light the fire when it's raining! BUt when it's raining the fire doesn't go out! Weird!

I figured that out too!! Only it happened to me when I finally realized that the torches were used to get rid of the bees around hive! I felt double dumb!!

Not so weird. A large fire will burn out raindrops quickly, unless it's a heavy rain. However, already-wet wood needs lots of dry tinder to begin burning.

As soon as the rain stops the fire can be lit. I reckon the villager should be forced to fetch some new dry grass; surely if it's been lying in the fire pit during the storm it won't dry out immediately? ;\)

It's an effect of the super-bright tropical sunshine. You live in London, where it never stops raining, so how would you know? ;\)
