I remember from VV2 that it was possible to use the map to spot collectibles after a certain level of tech was obtained. I've tried to do this in VV3, but either it doesn't work the same way, or I've just not caught them.

I have the game completed except for the collectibles, and it sure would be easier to watch the map rather than make myself dizzy with flyovers!

If this has been covered before I apologize. I did do a search for 'map" and came up empty.

I can only see collectibles on the map AFTER a child has picked them up and is carrying them to the scientists. Which isn't much help if you're trying to find them on the map.
It was a nice feature in VV2... but it's not there in VV3.

I didn't know you could do that in VV2 either!! I don't really use my map, I use my keyboard to look around.
