I have read other's speak of sounds. I did download the music files, but still no music. No sounds at all actually. I have the Clie TL25 and am assuming this is the reason. Does anyone know if I bought the Tungsten E2 if I would then have music? And would I have to start my game over? Thanks!

We have had several reports of problems with sound and/or music on the Clies. Unfortuately, Sony treats audio differently from the way that Palm does, and that can cause all kinds of problems.

There is a discussion of a possible solution in this topic, if you're interested in trying it with your Clie.

Village Sim should work just fine on the E2.

I have Sony Clie PEG-TJ37. I need speakers to hear music properly because the sounds that emit from the Clie is very soft even when it's set to maximum volume. My previous Clie model does not produce a single musical squeak except for system beeps and alarms. You need headphones/speakers to listen to the music. Perhaps that's why you're not hearing music from your Clie?

I have a Tungsten E2 and loaded Village Sim... It plays great but I have no music. I'm new to the Palm world. I'm probably missing something but I just don't know what it is.

The first thing to check is to make sure that you also loaded at least one of the music files. They are not automatically installed when you install Village Sim.

That's good to hear. I think Village Sim is much nicer with the sounds and the music, too.

I think so too! I love the music!...it's so cheerful and "happy islander". It was the perfect music choice for this game. I especially like listening to it through a headset, it sounds even better that way! (plus, that way I can listen to it in bed while I check my little village, without waking hubby).
