I have built one new hut so far. How many people will this accomodate before I need to build another hut? Is there a general rule about number of people to a hut? Thanks!

Actually, there are specific numbers of villagers that each hut will accommodate. Your population is limited to 7 villagers until the first hut is finished. Once it’s finished, your tribe can grow to a population of 15. The second hut allows your population to expand to 25 villagers, and the final hut allows your population to grow to the maximum number of villagers supported on your particular model of Palm device. For most models the limit is 65 villagers. That last hut is really roomy!

thanks! by allow, do you mean that you actually cannot grow if you haven't built that many huts?

Additional huts are required in order to grow the population of your village. For example, if you have 7 villagers and haven't built the first new hut, the villagers will refuse to breed because there isn't enough housing. Each time a new hut is completed, your villagers will once again be willing to make babies (instead of complaining that there isn't enough housing), up to the next limit (as explained above). Your builders will start construction on a new hut when it's needed, but you may run into temporary housing shortages if your population grows to the next limit before the new hut is completed.
