Ya know the little purr sound they make when they sit down with the baby? I miss that sound.

I know that sound and still hear it, but doesn't always seem to be just when they sit down. But I do hear it when there's a nursing mom around.

I thought that was the babies cooing? I am still hearing it, maybe not as frequently.

Purr sound??? I always thought that was a sigh! And they still make it, you just have to be in her vicinity to hear it.

I like the purring too...but speaking of purring...there are some kids that when I pick them up I swear it sounds like a cat's meow...Is it just me that thinks that?! \:\)

I hear the baby sound still, I always called it cooing. And I heard someone whistling for the first time yesterday.

The new sounds the kids make are pretty funny and yeah, one does sound like a meow. There's also one that sounds like a dog yelping. I feel bad picking those kids up because it sounds like it hurting them.

I hear the cooing sound, don't know it it's the mom or the baby. I also hear a similar sound that is more like a pigeon or turtledove.

About the kid sounds: We've had great fun the last couple of days with our female beagle-mix dog. I play the game on headphones so the racket doesn't bother the rest of the house. But the dog can hear when the kid yelps the high-pitched "Hey!" on being picked up. It's been hilarious watching mama dog searching for the baby. She'll sit in her RCA Victor pose with head tilted and floppy ears up, then put her paws on the desk and actively search for the kid whenever she hears the yelp. She doesn't react to any of the other sounds.

When I first played the game, I picked up one of those kids who made the sound like she was being hurt and I sort of instinctively dropped her. She landed right by one of the alchemy bowls (since I'd been playing only about 2 minutes, I had no idea what that was about). When I saw the action line that she was looking for her mommy, I was sure I had hurt the poor kid! Pretty funny now, and I actually like those sounds now -- they make nice variety -- but I got startled when it first happened. It took a few minutes to figure out why she was looking for mommy!

"looking for mommy" can be a hint that you need to get an adult to do the action. I tried to pick up the fallen fruit using a kid and got that same message.
