I was just looking at my gravestones to see if the cute quotes were put on them in this game like they were in VV2 and the 2nd person in my village that died is gone! The stone is still there but when I click on it nothing happens. The rest are fine and I even clicked on the Roster Stone and there is just a blank space where number 2 use to be. I may have a grave robber in my village! This is very disturbing! lol Has anyone else had this happen?

I don't think it was dropped because it was on the roster at one time.

It's a _bug_ in the game. There have been several reports of similar occurrences, although the graveyard usually returns to normal at some point. We are still investigating this problem, but it's difficult to reproduce.

I figured it was something like that, thanks! So I guess the grave robber as a conscience and will eventually return the body! lol

Ok here is the update on the grave robber. My Chief just died and she is in 2 graves. Her name is on the missing one and her own. On the roster stone she is listed in spot 2, when she should be in spot 6. I have 6 gravestones and only 5 names on the roster. This should be interesting to watch and see what happens next!

That happened in one of my games, and the extra grave never went away.

I just came in and found 4 of my 6 graves "pilfered"! The headstones are still there, but they are blanks, and I cannot replace the names. The Roster shows only two of the six. I had no clue, until, our of the blue, some of my villagers picked flowers by the waterfall, and went to "Honor the Dead". I thought it odd, since I've not seen anyone do that so far in my game. They lay flowers at ALL the graves. I clicked on the first two graves, all was well, but the next 4 were empty, and the Roster had removed them.

Yes, something like that happened to me too. I accidentally clicked underneath the fourth row of gravestones (there were no graves there anyway) and a thing popped up, the thing that comes up when you click on a grave. How wierd is that

This gets odder yet. I returned to find one of my very elderly women had died. They buried her, and a tombstone came up, as it should. I checked the other tombstones, to see if they were still blank. The third tombstone was identified as the woman's who had just passed away. The roster says 3 people are listed. However, I now have 7 headstones, and one woman has two of them. She has the third and seventh tombstones marked as her resting place(s?). I have a feeling this is going to be very confusing for awhile.

Yes, I have something more serious than that as well. I had two dead people. One had no gravestone (or was it invisible?), but the other did. When I clicked on where the missing gravestone should be, it had his name and everything, it was so wierd!

ok i have 4 tribes going and this happened in the 4th. the first six of my villagers died and there graves and names appear in the roster like normal. then my cheif died and his robe goes back to where it was but he doesn't appear in the graveyard or the roster and one of my kids is now cheif then another villager died and he doesn't appear either then my favorite female died and she appears as the seventh one dead so what happened to my first cheif and is friend? i read a bunch of posts in the place to log bugs and other post but none anwered the question where are they and will they show up ever.

P.S. after the female all other villagers that die shows up but my cheif and friend

We are looking into other reports of similar happenings in that version, but we haven't come up with a fix yet. Did you switch tribes or quit the game with unburied skeletons in the amphitheater?

no when i open the game i saw that someone had died because my population went down and the robe was in the ampiteather i don't leave the game running because its a new tribe and i don't want anything to happen to them but my other tribes are running by themseleves

So you're saying that a villager died while the game was paused? Or was it just not running?

after i unpaused it the number went down but his bones didn't show up and nobody went to bury him

i have a ghost villager now, one time one of my villagers died, i looked at her stone, it was there and had writing on it, but then i looked away, and it disapeared, and she was now ALIVE!

she kinda had a good life, she was the oldest and kept makeing postions, now i let only her do whatever she wants.

I never had anything interesting happen on my gravestones. The only interesting thing I got is when I had a trible chief and the first one died and it said beloved chief in grave 6 and when I got another chief she was new chief at age 73 then she died and was buried next door to in 7 the first chief yet it did not have on it she was a chief yet both chiefs were on the roster of the dead on 6 and 7 the jobs on it tribal chief. Not sure if it is the other way round. I recheck it later.

I will keep checking the stones and see if it ever happens in my game and if it does I will post a screen shot of it.

Speaking of missing tombstones... When I played my game and at least 7 of them died, when I "distracted" the villagers who are going to bury the dead, 1 was buried and was shown in the Roster but the other 6 was no where to be found in the roster and the tombstones. Is it possible that my "distraction" caused this?

Yes, if you interrupt a villager during an important task, it will cause the task to be aborted. Burials depend upon the villager being able to complete the task.

I never knew that, any way I never interrupted any villager burying the dead in the game. So maybe that's why I never had missing names. However I have noticed as soon as a villager pick up the skelleton and I click on the part where the gravestone is to be, I get the pop up who is burried their and that is before the gravestone appears.

I get that too. In VV2, the gravestone would appear before my villagers got to the burial site.

i never interrpt them when they are going to bury someone because i like the burial train of people.it looks like 1 big fineral so reverant.

I lost all the names on 5 of the grave stones and now they have come back, Several of my villagers died and 5 of them must have died twice as they have 2 grave each and this I taken the pic of one that I changed his name before he died and as you can see and because of his name been Bong I wrote James as the second name. I wanted to send proof that this is true. I did not name another like it.

That same thing happened to me - the names on the graves of my first elders disappeared. I was so upset I stopped playing the game.
