The game was on slow... not sure about the version, I'm at work... I'll have to check when I get home. I've been meaning to anyway because I know there's an update \:\)

It was the older version. I've now upgraded. Still not sure what happened, but luckly the 2 villagers that were left were 1 boy and 1 girl, so now they're making lots of babies! ;\)
