So, after getting my villagers to where they can fend for themselves without my supervision, I left the game running for two whole days before checking in on them. Much to my surprise, they were almost on the brink of no return! Of my 80 villagers, 30 were left, half of them either too young or too old to breed. My youngest men were 45! In all the time I was gone, only 2 children had been born.
Im still a bit in shock. The whole tribe seems to have taken up celibacy when I wasn't paying attention. Ive never had a village that didnt *breed* before, its like I have to remind them "Hey, make babies or you die out!"
Just wanted to share my Villager-woe with some sympathetic ears. I've learned my lesson, if I want my village to thrive I'll have to get on and make sure theres some romance on the island :p
lol...well, the bath has flowers and candles...that's romantic! Do you have a master parent or a villager whose preference is set to parenting? That may help.
