Tries to look through the many pages and must have missed it. I know in the last 2 games it was to study plants. Someone please give me a hint to start training a doc?

I think you have to buy the second level of medicine, then you can teach them.

Yes, if you click on the "?" next to the Buy button for each technology, you can find out lots of interesting things!

What I did to train up my doctors before I could get enough tech points for for a level 2 Medicine was to create the potion which made the villagers sick (I think it's Rose+Orchid+Lotus) then had all of the villagers but one drink from it.
After the villagers were sick, I placed the one healthy one on the sick ones to have him/her heal them.
It's more in depth than just getting level 2 medicine, but it's a quick fix if you don't have enough tech points.

yes i was going to post the same question...the ? next to the tech only tells you, you can train doctors..doesnt tell you how

Actually, it does. It says, "At level 2 you can train doctors in the medical area."
