I always re-name my villagers, based on how much they remind me of real people I know. That makes it more personal to me. Then, each generation is a re-name. (ie, Hillbilly, Hillbilly 2, Dave, Dave 2, Dave 3, etc.) I keep better track of my villagers, that way, and it helps me remember who their parents were, especially, after they turn 18.
