I haven't seen a thread on this so i thought i would start one.
who has runners?

I have had one, and was ADHD. He could not stay on one task fir any length of time

I got a running villager, boy! was I one happy person. Very useful at the start of the game, I think.

I do . I actually have four tribes (after finishing puzzles in first two I started another two). In three of them I had a runner right from the beginning (and after an event one became a runner who likes learning). In my other tribe I have no runners but there is a newborn who likes learning. I feel kind of lucky, yet, I also have a number of villagers who dislike learning and twins who dislike running (yes, both of them, right from the beginning ).

i got a runner in my first tribe....i keep breeding her..but so far no other runners

I had an adult runner and let her drink something and it turned her into a running child. This was at the very begining, so that left me with 3 adults, 3 children, and ADHD girl.....

I had a runner named Gavi.

I had a runner. I actually got a orange box pop up saying my villagers, Kina, was upset about her long boney legs, she didn't think they were nice enough for a person who had hair like hers (yes, she was very vain about her hair). And then she got attacked by a bee and I got to choose whether she would swat at it or run, and I chose run, and from then on she really liked running =D

How on earth did you do that?!?

Yes. Please share how that happened? I'm sure many of us would like to duplicate your village of runners.

EVERYONE? I thought I was fortunate when my triplet boys were all runners, but everyone? How in the world did you manage that?

runners are best at building i guess, and food if you hardly have any farmers i only had one but he helped finaly get the "unlimited food source" which im sure isnt worth keeping secret by now lol

i have 2 running villager... 1 boy and 1 girl..

i breed them two but the baby unlike running...

i want all of my villager like's running...

Runners are good for many things....even research! I have 4 runners...the triplets and the girl with the loong legs! I'm very fortunate.

I have one and it is making me sad that she is getting old.

i have 2 in the lastest village i started.
they were both in the original 8. This village is off to a good start.

I have had one runner *on my second tribe, he's in his 40's* but I wish I could have more. It's funny, the few times I have a runner, you never realize it until you see them buzzing around the screen after 14.. before that, they all run about the same as kids (unless it's one who hates running.. I swear, those are the ones that annoy me!)

But I've also had a few women who were not runners, but they ran as fast as a runner whenever they wanted to, um, improve their 'parenting' skills! But put them to anything else, and they were just as slow as everyone else.

I have a runner in my first tribe. He has been excellent at everything (likes learning AND work )

He was the one to find the crystal and spawned an ADHD twin runner!

So I have the best of villagers AND the worst

I never start the game without a runner. I prefer to have them a young male so I don't have to worry about haveing to get them with child.

I have a blond girl named Kuka who is a runner. other than running she likes butterflies and lifting (good thing too, right now she is suppose to be working on the bath)

Yeah. While waiting for VV3 to come out, I keept starting new trbies on VV2 (Most of which died...Oh well). I would always keep 'starting over' if their were:
a)weird/ugly men *sorry, but I always rename my villagers, and like to use either friend and family or favorite characters from books and movies.. so I try to find some that look as muchlike the people I am renaming them as I can.. and, let's face it, Edward Cullen could not be a weird bald guy with no muscle and ugly clothes. :)*
OR
b)no runners. Took forever to finally find one that I liked and start playing.. though they did die soon after-- probably because I kind of forgot about them when I saw the download for VV3 a month ago.

I love the runners I get, I don't know if letting them parent will carry that on though.. I've been hesitant to let a female runner be a parent because she's SO useful somewhere else. We need a *village daycare* So these busy moms can get back to work, lol.

Did DL ever tell how to get a whole tribe of runners?

The first two tribes I started both had runners, and both ended up being the c---f (not that it is really a spoiler anymore). I was rather irritated.
