How do I make a darn potion! I have all the ingredients and nothing is ever made. I have lvl 3 alchemy and lvl 2 nature and a few other things at lvl 2. I really need to get those darn sharks away so my villagers don't die. So please someone help me.

If you are not careful about "overlapping" the potions, you can easily end up with nothing. Make sure that you aren't gathering herbs for a second potion while the first one is being made.

I don't think I'm doing that. I just get the 3 herbs then let it do its thing..

But if I did somehow overlapped awhile ago with the herbs how do I get a clean slate? I've tried about 3 times to make the potion and nothing is happening.

Put some villagers to pick up these herbs:
(Highlight for spoiler) Pitcher Plant + Black Orchid + Black Orchid (end of spoiler)They will bring them in the alchemy lab, on the table. Then put a villager on the cauldron (in the chimey) and he/she will prepare the potion!

Does the first plant you listed have to go first? Cause I was doing the plant that you need two of first...

No, it can go in any order. It'll still make the same potion.

Doesn't matter! the herbs are all the three on the table then the villager takes them as he want to put it in the cauldron!!

Okay well then it's not working. Haha cause I've been using all those herbs. Found out what to use from the guide.

Well I just tried to do it again. No luck. I can never ever make a potion and I really need to make this one.

Maybe if you told us exactly how you are preparing the potion, we can figure out why it's not working for you.

Does the "no overlapping" rule apply if the potion is made but sitting in the cauldron? I want to gather herbs as one is evaporating, but not if it will mess things up.

It's fine to gather herbs after the villager puts the 3rd herb into the pot.

Okay I gather the 3 plants. They are on the table. I have a villager start the potion and it's evaporating with a light thing coming out of the cauldron, and then it gets down to zero and no potion is ever made.

Have you tried dropping a villager on the pot right after you see the effects in the pot?

what you should do is put a villager on the pot while it is evaporating.

I have this in another topic, but I am having trouble even making the potion I am trying to make. I have level 2 alchemy and nature, and the lab completed. I am trying to make the potion with the highlighted herbs above, but it just keeps blowing up. What am I doing wrong? Does it take awhile to get it to work instead of explode?

I got it! It took about 8 tries, but I guess you just have to keep at it.

is there somewhere I can get a list of combinations and what they are for when using the herbs?? This is only my second day with VV3... HELP!!!!!!!!! And, how do I get rid of the sharks????
