is there any other source of food other than the trees and the honey? My tribe is nature and they're running out of food. the honey never replenished and the trees aren't regrowing either. all 3 are planted and full grown but they aren't bearing more than 6 units of fruit at a time. I only have 80 food and all 3 trees are empty. There are only 15 villagers. How do i boost the food to keep them alive? I've solved over 1/2 the puzzels and i don't want to have to restart.

Yes, there is fishing, just as there is in previous VV games. Like VV2, you have to solve a puzzle to gain access. There is a step-by-step approach to food sources in the Official VV3 Strategy Guide, or (if you only want hints) here are some things to consider when developing your strategy:

Growing the population too large and too soon will create a food crisis. The initial food supplies in all VV games are limited and won't support a very large population. The trees and honey will replenish slowly, but never to the amounts that appeared in the initial harvests. In VV3, if you grow the population beyond about 10-12 villagers before you have an unlimited food supply, you will need to hunt mushrooms a lot to prevent starvation.

Some things you can do to help get extra food:

- Make sure you are using your chief to make extra food every day.
- Hunt mushrooms, especially when it's raining.
- Have all of your working-age villagers do research when there is no food left to harvest. This will get you much-needed tech points.
- Make sure you check what each village tech does for your tribe (click the "?" next to each Buy button). Some are more helpful than others early in the game.

i'm about 30,000 tech points away from being able to solve that puzzle. everything else i'm already doing.

Ok... so I figured it out and managed to keep them alive until I was able to fish. Don't look if you don't want to know....
