I was sitting around one day looking through my huge list of games and contemplating which ones to delete to free up hard drive space. VV is definitely one of my oldest games, but I'd never delete it since I'm still playing it every day! LOL
However, I was thinking about games and how they get boring, and how VV doesn't get boring as quickly because... well, for many reasons. One of the reasons I came up with is that you can make stuff for it.
Yeah, yeah, so you can recolor the mushrooms... so what? Big deal....
So, I wondered if I could create
a whole island.
And I did. Took about an hour and a half with my rusty Photoshop skills. Okay, so it's not that great. Oh well. I'm not an artist.
Then I wondered if I could PLAY my island... and insanity ensued. It's a whole other game when you're clicking around blindly because things aren't where they used to be. LOL
After spending all that time on it, what was I going to
do with it? Finally I decided it was perfect for a story. I made several versions to show the progress of my tribe, like in one version there is a fire and in another version they have built one hut... and so on.
Here's what my island looks like. I'm showing two versions, a "just shipwrecked" version and a "been here a while" version.
