Is there a list posted somewhere of their abilities? I looked but was unsuccessful.Thanks.

Here is what the chief can do:

Level 1 of leadership- Chief can make magic food
Level 2- Chief can teach children
Level 3- Chief can point out rare collectable

Each of these can be done once every 24 hours.

I have been able to get my chief to carry firewood, heal, and "go indoors" with another villager.

Ok, I also got my child chief (age 5) to pick up collectables.

Click on the question mark by the leadership technologies. These question marks are very helpful.

Ok I know that the cheif can only make magic food and teach every 24 hours. My question is, does that time still pass for that if the game is on pause. I'm running out of food and have it paused until later tonight when the 24 hours should be over!! Please let me know if anyone knows.

You can still make the chief create food. It's 24 hours of REAL time. I have one tribe that I just started and I keep them paused almost all the time. I unpause them every 24 hours of real time and have the chief make food. (It's only been 2 days). It's a good way to get them a bit ahead!!! I don't mess with the time on my computer anymore because if you have to put it back for any reason then the chief won't make food until you get to 24 hours past the last date you had on the computer. For instance, I was in a hurry one day to get my kids with some experience before they turned 14 so I kept pausing the game, moving the time forward 24 hours, unpausing, make food and teach kids, pause, move time, etc. I got to June 2nd then I had to pause and turn the time back to normal because it was messing up my work. Now the chief won't do anything extra until June 3rd!!!!!!!

The Chief can also heal. You drop her on sick villagers, and she'll say no, but if you keep at it, the chief gains medical skills and eventually will take care of sick villagers on her own.

I just made a 4 year old chief. One thing she can't do is teach the other children.
