Are you taking the Nature path or Magic? L3 Nature enables your villagers to live longer. So far I've had four villagers qualify: at 90, two at 92, and one lived until she was 95. Three were in my oldest game.

Does it help if you baby them? I get to worrying about them as they become elderly and do things like 'fly' them around to save on walking. If they are trudging painfully toward the waterfall, I give them a lift there and back. Then I send them down for a nice long bath. I set them to work at something 'easy' like science or healing or just let them wander. I even let my 68 year old 'have a little fun' before he went. (It was the last thing he did, but his little skull was grinning!) None of this probably makes a darn bit of difference as far as longevity, but I get to feel as though I am a loving and kind goddess to my people. Plus, it is too painful to watch them struggle to walk. I'm only a few years short of knee and/or hip replacement myself! Serious question: Does it make ANY difference whether you work your villagers hard (even refusing the food and water breaks) or give them a life of ease, say motherhood and studying medicine? Is the game designed to consider 'wear and tear' on a body or is the lifespan determined from the start? I'll still be sweet to my elderly and show tough love to my stubborn couch potatoes, but it would be nice to know if that affects anything other than my own ego. Can they die of neglect when their goddess spends too long at the forum after cranking them up to high speed? Um...gotta go!

I have "Magic" faction, and have had no luck getting any of them to 90. I hope it's not impossible for those of us who chose Magic to get this award, but I'm worried since it sounds like those of you choosing Nature is have trouble too. Highest I've gotten is 82 so far.

I haven't had one get past 86 on Magic faction.
That award is the only thing I have left to complete every aspect of the game.

i have the magic faction and i had a villager that lived to 98. about 20 more have lived over ninety, but 98 is my highest. Well, that makes ME feel better. I chose Magic Faction, too. Made it harder in the food area, for about the first 30 game years. I have hope for my little guys. I've lost 3 villagers, now: Hakuna, at 66; Hillbilly, at 64; and Maya, at 65. I still have five village Founders left. All my Founders, but one, became Esteemed Elders. I'd like to see at least one of the Founders reach a ripe old age.

I always play the first few times on "easy". When I get bored, then I play a few times on "normal", etc. That keeps the game exciting for me. Usually works until the next game comes out. This one, I'm glad to say, has more options. "Easy" for Magic; "Easy" for Nature. "Normal" for Magic; "Normal" for Nature. "Hard" for Magic; "Hard" for Nature. Hopefully, many times, on each level will keep me occupied, until VV4 comes out. (Not too long, I hope! )

I had my best laugh when trying to get two of my villagers to 90. I chose to experiment with potions (instead of reading the cheats) and found one that improves health, so I am feeding that to my elders to see if it helps past 76 (so far, my oldest) However; you guys have got to try these two potions-----try, Tiger Lilly+Rose+Cactus, as well as Rose+Rose+Tiger Lilly. I laughed until I peed in my pants!! These guys are a hoot but I was afraid I had killed off my poor old guy that I was trying to save!!! I'll get back to you on the health potion---I don't have results of my experiment yet.

In my longest-running tribe I've had four villagers live to reach Ancient Elder: one got to 90, two to 92, and one to 95. That's out of 104 who have died so far according to the Roll of the Dead. In my second tribe the oldest villager died at 88 (out of about 30 on the ROD) and my newest tribe has an oldest villager of 78 (only half a dozen have died there so far). All the tribes followed Nature.

For some reason, my villagers die in bunches at the same age. I'll turn the game on and there will be a bunch of dead villagers. When I check the roster of the dead, I'll see they'll all have died at the same age. Consecutively I've had 8 die at 75, 10 at 79, 7 at 83, 8 at 80 and so on. It's weird.

i've made it to 86, several 81,82 84 but never to 90, any ideas on how to help them? seemed as the game progressed so did their deaths, 60's then to 70's then to 80's and then it dropped down to 70's and i can't get them back up. i usually ease up on them once the puzzels are solved and just let them coast along, not even trying for EE's, but then they started dying earlier? is this just coincidense? anyone know?

I've still had no luck getting 90 in Magic Faction. And I still have the same weird issue I mentioned before...groups of villagers dying at the same age. Today when I checked on them, I'd had 9 villagers die at age 77. It's driving me nuts. This is the only thing I need to completely finish all the goals/puzzles of my first tribe.

Somehow while I wasn't watching someone lived to be 90. Not sure who it was...I have been frustrated because I can't get anyone to build so I have been ignoring the tribe and only check in once a week.

Best suggestion I've seen is to leave the game off for a while and only come back to it after a few days. Of course, you can still play another village in a different slot.

Sometimes you just have to wait a while, until your villagers start livivg to the age of 85-67.Also. I've found that it's easier for scientists to live longer. The easiest way to get some one to live long is to have one person that doesn't do anything. Just don't train them and make sure that they do anything that they want. Hope that helps I meant 85- 87 sorry about that.
