I have had only one event in this game. And that was a man coming in a canoe who was a builder. I have had my game now for over a week.
In VV1 and VV2 I had one at least once a day. Why is this one different as far as the other 2 games go?

I had 2 in the first hour or so and then about 1 a day. Are you pausing your game when your not playing? I am doing that this time and haven't recieved an event in 2 days, I am assuming because I haven't actually played for 24 hours since my last event.

Not my first game. I have enough food so I don't worry so much that they will die of starvation when I quit the game. I keep them on slow because they don't age so fast, but I turn them back on fast when I get back on.
It seems to me that I got more with VV1 and VV2 than I do with this game.
I started 4 other games.I'll see how they do.

Come to think about it, I now have a question.

I have read a few post that leads me to belive the 24 hour clock still ticks even on pause. After 24 hours using pause, my chief still does her special stuff but still no event. Is this normal? It has now been 2 full days keeping it paused from 11:00 pm until about 6 PM

I think the 24 hour clock for the Chief doing her/his special thing is separate from the 12-24 hour clock for events taking place. The Chief's clock is based on real world 24 hours passing even if the game is on pause but the event's clock is based on actual gameplay hours.
