For my tribes I always liked to have as much diversity in the hairstyles, hair colors and clothing as possible to make the game more interesting to me. I am curious to see how others have fared in tribal diversity. So far VV3 has been a challenge to me in this area.

I didn't have this problem too much in the other VV games, but for this tribe, I seemed to have a hard time getting children born with other hair colors than this brownish color and the same hairstyles seemed to keep repeating themselves more than I would like to see. Part of the problem I think is that my founding members weren't as diverse as they could have been. Normally I would have kept restarting the tribe until I got a good combination of different hair colors/styles, but I was excited to see a runner with this tribe and went with it.

I had two men, one with the brownish hair, and one with black hair and 6 women/girls (counting the one that was a nursing baby at the beginning). Of the females, half of them had red hair and the rest were a brownish color. The second generation unfortunately yielded no redheads. I got a couple of blacked hair boys and the rest were varying shades of brown. I did get a pretty girl with dark brown hair and blue flowers in her hair, but rest of the styles were duplicated at least once within that generation and within the ones that followed.

I didn't have the luxury to do a lot of breeding in that earlier part of the game because I was wanting to solve the puzzles and get as many tech points as fast as possible. So now that I'm at that point of the game where I don't have much else to do but watch over my tribe and breed them to see what I get. I've started my fourth generation and was disappointed to not only have mostly brown haired boys and girls (with one or two black haired boys), but I had only ONE new hairstyle that I hadn't seen show up yet.

Then today I finally got the event that I always wanted to get but I never did in either VV1 or VV2! I got the babies in the barrel (or is that box?) event! Three girls, one with red hair, one with black hair, and one with blond hair! I am especially excited with the blond hair because I haven't had that color before in VV3. I'm hopeful I'll get more black-haired children when I breed my black-haired girl together with the few black-haired boys I have. I also hope I can reintroduce red hair into the tribe like there was in the beginning. Now I just need to wait until they turn 18 and try my luck! \:\)

I'm so glad this happened, because I was afraid I'd get bored with this game much faster than I did the previous ones, and I don't really like starting new tribes over again. I do worry that I might have a hard time getting more blond and red haired children since I don't have any males with those hair colors. I'm not too sure how genetics are determined in this game, but at least in my tribe brown hair seemed to be favored when I paired up my red haired girls in the earlier part of the game. So I'm really curious to hear how other people's tribes have done in this area to get a better idea of what I might be in for if anyone wants to share. \:\) Thank you if you made it this far!

Mostly mine are brunettes with a few redheads and a couple with black hair. I haven't got any blondes in this game but I've got several in my other tribe.

I have all hair colors (blonde, brown, red, black) but the same ones do keep showing up most of the time.

I have all colors and style of hair. There are two males that look almost like twins but they are two years apart and out of two different parents, weird huh? I love Tilli, the one with the purple looking hair!!!
