I was moving all my villagers to research. When I put my chief into the mix to begin directing the work she smacked into someone and well she is now walking around with a baby!

Looked around the forum and not sure if this is suppose to happen. Couldn't find anything on it.

When I first started my game the first villager I put near the robe turned out to be the chief. He was only 9 and got the award for reigning 50 years to boot. I just figured the chief couldn't get pregnant since she needs to direct work. Now she is out of commission for a while. LOL...

That's right. A female chief can have babies. However, she has to take maternity leave from her chiefly duties while she's carrying the baby around. An idea for VV4 - perhaps the chief could nominate a deputy chief who could take over if necessary?

I totally agree! The chief should make the father carry the baby!

My chief "bumped" into someone while doing the statue..sigh..they had to wait till her maternity leave was over to finish.

I like that idea a great deal! My chief is again pregnant and I need her to direct work! I really have to be more careful where I place her from now on.
